USA: San Francisco

A lot of people don’t know that I spent a year living in San Francisco, which always shocks me because it’s my favorite city in the US. Each time I visit, I feel like I’ve returned home. This past weekend I jumped at the opportunity to show Jon around my old stomping ground. Here are a few snapshots of how we spent our time exploring the incredible SF.

Where We Went

We hit the ground running and headed over to to the Fisherman’s Wharf where we played tourists and hit up all the souvenir shops. The seals on pier 39 are always a sight to see as well!

Hands down my favorite spot in the city has always been Palace of Fine Arts. The size of the structure and it’s beauty never cease to amaze me. I’ve spent countless hours in the park and will always have a special place in my heart for this treasured location.

If you ever have an opportunity to visit SF, you must take sometime and explore all that Chinatown has to offer. You will have the best dim sum and Chinese candy outside of Asia!

Full House fans, don’t forget to snag a picture in front of the iconic Painted Ladies

What We Ate

There are so many incredible restaurants in San Francisco so it’s incredibly difficult to choose which one’s to share with you! Below are a few of my personal favorites!

  3. Tartine Manufactory
  4. The Dorian (also have a really fun night life and burlesque show!)
  5.  Cityscape  (happy hour with a view)
  6. El Techo (their rooftop has incredible brunch!)
  7. Boga Guys (although this is a chain, the SF location near Japantown serves incredible Korean food!)
  8. Ace Wasabi-Rock & Roll Sushi
  9. Sessions at the Presidio
  10. Boudin Bakery  (a must for all sourdough lovers!)

What I wore

Packing for a trip can be very daunting. My go-to-tips are to always pack a pair of white sneakers (especially if you’ll be walking around all day) & to wear layers. The bay area in particular can have temperamental weather so it’s always important to be prepared so you aren’t spending extra cash when visiting.
