The day has come where I’m forced to eat my words, I love velvet! The Fall trend has caught me by surprise and I’m loving it in clothing, accessories, bags but mostly in shoes! The soft hand creates such a glamours texture and the way the fabric holds color makes for some rich looking footwear. Thankfully I see this trend continuing into Winter and Spring with some gorgeous saturated colors. Do make sure you take care of your precious pumps, as they aren’t ideal for rough weather and should be sprayed.
All of these sexy shoes are available from REVOLVE, but hurry they will go fast!
How are you wearing the velvet trend this Fall?
I sometimes struggle during the wet chilling months over what to wear for date night. I love a classic LBD, but freeze when I’m not indoors and hate the glaring eyes judging my lack of clothing. Thankfully the midi trend is in and to the rescue! I love today’s look because not only is it climate appropriate, it is super sexy and still shows off a little skin. A fall color pallet also adds to the warmth of the look.
What are your go-to date night looks when the weather changes?
When it comes to bags I really love purchasing one’s that will last so I tend to splurge a little. These gorgeous totes reminded me that you don’t have to splurge for quality. Click the links below to purchase one or two for your wardrobe this fall.
Which one is your favorite?
Now that the holidays are over, all I’ve been living in are my casual, comfortable clothing pieces. I had so much fun dressing up for parties and New Years, but nothing is beating jeans and Tees right now. Like so many other people out there I really had to spruce up my casual wardrobe lately and make sure I wasn’t too comfy. I found that sticking to basic silhouettes, mixing patterns and going towards alternative fabrics besides cotton, helped me elevate my basic go to pieces. Keeping to classic denim but pairing with a sheer house or oversized jacket instantly helped me feel less frumpy and more chic.
